The day was beautiful and the ride was uneventful. That's a good thing. Starting from Estrella Mountain Park on the far west side of the Phoenix Metroplex, we rode through farmland out to the Palo Verde Nuclear Power Plant and back. This facility is the largest nuclear power plant in the nation. Highlights of the trip:
Pink frosted cookies at some of the rest stops.
A woman's tire suddenly went flat while she was eating a banana at one of the stops. She wasn't even on the bike.
No flats, no accidents, no mishaps, no close calls.
